The Royal Danish Embassy in Paris is looking to hire a dynamic full time Junior Commercial Advisor to join our trade council team (TC Paris). The main objective of TC Paris is to promote Danish commercial interests in France. We do this by assisting Danish companies in a variety of activities ranging from developing market studies and market entry strategies to executing partner and customer searches, engaging in PR activities, creating awareness events and carrying out e.g. recruitment assignments.

With you in our lineup, we will be a local team of seven ambitious and hardworking TC employees who strive to provide high value returns to our partner companies. You will also work with e.g. the political and cultural sections of the embassy and you will be working closely with our TC-colleague in Italy, Spain and Portugal in a regional TC South West Europe set-up. Our drive and motivation are to build strong relationships with our Danish partner companies and to grow Danish export to France/South West Europe.

The Position
As a Junior Commercial Advisor your main focus will be to assist our Head of Trade in business development and work with him and other senior advisors on a number of very different projects. Our senior trade advisors mainly works within areas as Health Care, Tech, Food, Energy & Environment and Fashion/Design.

As a Junior Commercial Advisor, you will support some of the largest Danish companies as well as a wide range of small and medium sized companies in entering or expanding their market presence in the region. The day-to-day tasks include assisting in:

  • Identifying and establishing business-to-business contacts
  • Gathering, analyzing and presenting information on market opportunities
  • Preparing market/partner reports
  • Organizing events and delegations
  • Planning and setting up company visits
  • Providing support for promotional activities
  • Participating in business and government

    Job Requirements

  • Relevant educational background and strong academic track record
  • Maximum 2-3 years of working experience after graduation
  • Preferably international experience
  • Strong interest in business development
  • Proactive work ethics and analytical mind-set with an ability to think creatively
  • Flair for IT (Word, Excel, PPT), analytical tools and CRM systems
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member, often under time pressure
  • Fluency in French and English (verbal and written)

The Permanent Delegation of Denmark to the OECD is seeking to recruit a positive, dynamic, multi-skilled and flexible PA to the Ambassador. Candidates must demonstrate a high level of self-motivation and initiative. 

The PA is responsible for the secretary functions in the unit. You are, however, expected to show the flexibility required for an optimal handling of the portfolio of the delegation and thus be ready to contribute to handling tasks outside of your own portfolio.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Secretary tasks
• Managing the Ambassador’s calendar, including organisation and coordination of meetings
• Travel organisation for the Ambassador and the Deputy Permanent Representative
• Preparing programs for official visits and planning the logistics
• Responsible for the delegations web-site and SoMe activities
• Preparation of the official representation
• Coordination of invitations, publications etc…
• Miscellaneous tasks e.g. translations and other secretarial responsibilities.

Administrative tasks
• Handling of various expenses due to travelling and representation
• Coordination of the recruitment of interns and administrative formalities concerning interns
• Coordination of strategic processes as internal surveys and other…
• Updating contact- and mailing lists
• Absence registration
• Purchase
• Replacement in case of absence. This can occasionally take place at the bilateral embassy located in the same building

Required qualifications
• Relevant work experience including a structured mind-set and excellent planning and coordination skills
• Proficient in one of the Scandinavian languages
• Fluent English and French, speaking, reading and writing
• Good IT skills including Microsoft Office
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• A good team player

Employment conditions

• Working hours are 37 hours per week, with some of flexibility in organizing the daily working hours 
• Holiday: 5 weeks of paid holiday per year.
• Salary according to qualifications and relevant experience.
