RESIDENCE AND WORK PERMITS TO DENMARK MANDATORY ONLINE PAYMENT

Please visit New to Denmark the official portal for foreign nationals who wish to visit, live or work in Denmark.

You must fill in your application regarding your residence and work permit and pay the application fee online to the Danish Immigration Service and Danish Agency for Labour Retention and International Recruitment (SIRI).

After you have applied and paid the fee online, you must book an appointment at the Danish Embassy in Paris to get your biometric data recorded.

Please note: your biometric data (photo, fingerprints, signature) must be recorded no later than 14 days after the application is submitted.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark is introducing mandatory online payment of the embassy fee for recording biometric data for residence and work permits.

Applicants should pay the fee using this link:  https://dys.um.dk/permit/  before their appointment at the Danish Embassy.

Please book an appointment online here regarding your residence and work permit and for handing in your supporting documents:

  • Your passport and colour copies of each page, except the blank pages.
  • Your French residence permit and colour copy of it.
  • Receipt for your paid fees to the Danish Immigration Service and to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark.
  • Confirmation that your online application has been submitted.

The Danish immigration authorities will only start processing the application when biometric data has been recorded. The Danish Embassy will contact you when a decision has been made.

Please do not contact the Danish Embassy to inquire about the status of your pending case, unless you have further information to provide. The Danish Embassy will contact you by e-mail if we need further information or when we have received the decision regarding your application by the Danish Immigration Service or SIRI.
