Visum til Danmark

På Udenrigsministeriets hjemmeside kan du læse om reglerne for visum til Danmark og resten af Schengen-området.

Visum gives til ophold af kortere varighed i forbindelse med forretningsbesøg, besøg hos familie og venner, samt sports- og kulturbegivenheder. Danmark er omfattet af Schengen-samarbejdet. De visa, som danske ambassader mv. udsteder, er normalt gyldige til alle Schengen-landene.

Red Carpet-ordningen

Red Carpet-ordningen introducerer forenklede procedurer for opnåelse af dansk Schengen-visa til ansøgere, der jævnligt rejser til Danmark på forretningsbesøg. Formålet er at smidiggøre visumsagsbehandlingen for de virksomheder, organisationer, NGO'er osv., der har forretningsforbindelser med en dansk virksomhed eller organisation.

Red Carpet-ordningen er åbent for private og offentlige virksomheder eller organisationer, forudsat, at de opfylder de krav, der er nævnt på den lokale danske repræsentations hjemmeside.

NEW MANDATORY ONLINE VISA APPLICATION

From the 1st of July 2019, you must fill in your visa application and pay the application fee online using ApplyVisa.um.dk.

 

After you have applied and paid the visa fee online, you must print the cover letter from ApplyVisa  and hand in supporting documents at the Embassy of Denmark in Paris.

 

Who needs to apply?
Although you have a valid French residence permit you still might need to apply for a visa for travelling to the Faroe Islands or Greenland, read more in this link

 

When should you apply?
You can apply for a maximum of 3 months before. The Embassy recommends that you hand in your application a 1-2 months before. The processing time of your application is generally 15 days, but it can be up to a few weeks if the application is sent to European security checks or for another reason delayed, depending on the individual case.

 

Supporting documents required for application of visa to the Faroe Islands and Greenland
• Valid passport with valid residence permit in France is to be presented when applying. Both need to be valid at least three months longer than return day from Greenland / the Faroe Islands.

 

Colour copies of every single page of the passport - including empty pages and the front and back cover - need to be handed in with the application. The same applies for the residence card.

 

• Copy of return flight ticket
• Invitation from the person receiving you in Greenland / Faroe islands and / or travel plan showing hotel bookings for whole stay.
• No photos needed, that is included in the biometrics recording that will be done at the Embassy
